Well there has been some fun with a fire hydrant this summer. Thank you to the Cincinnati Zoo for asking me to take part in an awesome art project. This year is the 150th anniversary for our Cincinnati Zoo. Many awesome events and projects have taken place there to celebrate this milestone. One in particular brought in artists to dress up some fire hydrants. If you have followed my Insta, you have seen the progress and the final. This was an awesome experience, donating time, money and fun art to such an amazing place. One of my favorite parts of the experience, was being there and talking with the kids about what I was doing. Public art creates a conversation and an amazing experience. Stay tuned as the zoo and I are continuing with some new projects.

Summer is in full swing but I am at it both in my art life, art teacherin life and good ole retail…because well yes I need multiple jobs. Lots of things are being planned for both the upcoming school year in my teacher life, but have some exciting things brewing on the art front. This summer has been a bit more about getting back to my own creating which has been amazing and hard work. Luckily here we have some great spots I can escape to, and just chill and let myself sketch and have a think. Be sure to keep up with me on my Insta as that is where I post fun nuggets and what not.
